Set within the countryside of North East England, the Land of Oak & Iron stretches from the fringes of the North Pennines following the course of the River Derwent to the River Tyne.

The Landscape Partnership aims is to work with local communities and partners to conserve, enhance and celebrate the natural, industrial and cultural heritage of this unique area.

Find out more about the about the opportunities and challenges associated with working in a landscape partnership, and how developing a brand for the Land of Oak & Iron is playing a key role in engaging the local community and businesses in a talk given by Karen Daglish, Partnership Manager of scheme.
