Due to the shockwaves of the Brexit vote, confidence is at an all-time low. Whatever happens in the coming months, companies and organisations still have to deliver, and do whatever they can to make sure they emerge at the other side stronger and ready to grow.

Dave Stitt of DSA Building Performance will be running a free two hour workshop in Newcastle at the offices of Ryder Architecture on July 14th entitled “Staying Strong in Troubled Times” which will be available to business and organisational leaders.

Dave will be sharing his system, developed over 20 years, of nurturing and protecting confidence in oneself and cultivating it outward in one’s team and organisation. Jacksons Law Firm and Constructing Excellence in the North East are hosting a seminar to update the construction sector on Health and Safety legislation. Topics will include key regulations which came into force on 1st February 2016, together with a general review of the last 12 months and recent developments on court sentencing.

Key Speakers
Simon Caterrall is a former CPS prosecutor and is well known in courts and licensing committees throughout the North of England for his candid representation of individuals and businesses at odds with the police and regulatory authorities. A sharp and no nonsense advocate, Simon is regarded for his sound advice at the point of investigation and, where warranted, for his tenacious defence of HSE, Environment, Trading Standards, Food Safety and police prosecutions.

Mark Stouph has successfully implemented management systems certified to international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and is a qualified lead auditor. He read law at Northumbria University followed by a Master of Laws degree in Health, Safety and Environmental Law at Salford University. Mark developed his investigation skills as a police officer then worked as a regulator with the Environment Agency where he led one of the largest investigations undertaken by the organisation into the unlawful disposal of incinerator ash.

He has over 12 years’ experience of commercial business operations at senior executive level where he had strategic responsibility for Health and Safety management across all group operations. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Chartered Waste Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and Affiliate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
